Specialized Tactics and Readiness (STAR) Training

Ascensus Global’s STAR training combines language and professional skills training to maximize the
performance of language-enabled personnel in executing their specific professional duties. While all of our training is customized to address specific learning objectives, our STAR training goes a step further to include more extensive customization and customer involvement, integrating real-world task-oriented exercises and customer-provided documentation for a specific job function, task or operational environment.

AGI STAR training enhances military operational readiness with mission-specific training in foreign
languages. For example, leadership development including cross-cultural negotiation, conflict resolution,
and crisis communication, complemented by pre-deployment preparation and advanced proficiency training in a specified language. Our STAR training has been very successful in enhancing DoD linguist
performance and interoperability with partner nations. Our STAR programs for the Air Force, for example,
develop interpreters’ capabilities through intensive training on standards and protocols while developing
subject matter expertise related to technical topics such as airfield damage repair in target languages.

STAR training applications within civilian government span diplomacy, emergency response, law
enforcement, public administration, and education, offering multilingual communication, cultural
sensitivity, and specialized training for diverse roles, ensuring readiness and success in multilingual
contexts.

Similarly, our STAR training is highly adaptable across the commercial sector, delivering customized
solutions that align with specific operational goals. For instance, we have designed programs for client-
facing personnel that focus on customer service language, cross-cultural negotiation, and persuasive
communication strategies. In healthcare, we offer STAR courses for medical professionals emphasizing
language used in emergency, triage, and critical care settings, enabling more accurate and compassionate interactions under pressure. Human resources teams benefit from STAR training geared toward foreign language recruitment, onboarding, conflict resolution, and employee engagement. We are also developing industry-specific programs for manufacturing teams that address safety communication, bilingual coordination, and compliance with occupational health standards. Regardless of the industry, Ascensus Global’s STAR training delivers mission-driven, job-relevant learning experiences that improve performance and organizational effectiveness.
