
Ascensus Global Operational Reforms Benefit Intel Elements
Ascensus Global (formerly MultiLingual Solutions) executed a prime contract for the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), providing 29 fulltime language analysts and project managers to successfully execute routine and short-fused, high visibility language services requirements supporting the White House, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, DIA elements, and other intelligence community customers. Ascensus Global achieved exceptional performance metrics through strategic staffing, workflow optimization, and operational improvements. We exceeded staffing goals by onboarding more highly skilled linguists with advanced clearance levels and broad language capabilities than required, maintaining a 97% FTE fill rate, and deploying teams flexibly across 16 languages. Furthermore, we employed commercial best practices to optimize workflows and implement operational improvements that delivered tangible results in terms of efficiency, throughput and customer satisfaction. For example, we implemented multiple translation service levels developed a decision tree to guide customers to the appropriate service level, reducing unnecessary effort. We also relaunched technologies, rapidly increasing productivity, and replaced outdated database systems with a custom management database for integrated tracking, reporting, and task automation. We further developed workflows for high-volume unclassified tasks, leveraging our BSD resources and secure infrastructure to free on-site resources for classified work, conducted foundational training in translation and interpretation quality assurance and best practices. These metrics and improvements underscore how Ascensus Global’s approach to language operations management enhances efficiency and quality in support of our customer’s mission.
